TALIA

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026

This notice describes how TALIA processes personal data and which tracking technologies are used on madeintalia.com. The main focus is on the technologies we use to measure site usage and improve the browsing experience.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Talia S.r.l., with registered office at Viale Strasburgo 181-B, 90146 Palermo (PA), Italy.

For any privacy-related request, you can contact us at [email protected].

  • Company name: Talia S.r.l.
  • VAT / Tax code: 07292950826
  • EU VAT number: IT07292950826
  • REA number: PA – 449570
  • Certified email (PEC): [email protected]

2. Tracking technologies overview

We do not use profiling cookies, advertising pixels, or remarketing tools. We do not sell data to third parties for marketing purposes.

The only measurement technologies active on this site are described below. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar advertising trackers.

3. Umami Analytics (cookieless analytics)

We use Umami, a self-hosted web analytics platform, to understand in aggregate how visitors use the site. The script is loaded from analytics.madeintalia.com.

Umami runs in cookieless mode: it does not set tracking cookies or persistent identifiers in your browser. Collected data is anonymous and does not directly identify an individual.

  • Pages visited and navigation path
  • Referrer (source website)
  • Browser type, operating system, and device
  • Screen resolution and browser language
  • Country of origin (approximately derived from IP address, without storing the raw IP)
  • Anonymous custom events, e.g. menu open, navigation link clicks, chat widget interactions, contact form submissions, video playback, CTA clicks

4. Browser local storage (localStorage)

In addition to cookies, browsers can store small amounts of data in localStorage. On our site we use localStorage only to remember whether you dismissed the analytics notice (key: talia_analytics_notice_dismissed).

This value contains no personal data and is used solely to avoid showing the notice again. You can delete it at any time from your browser settings.

5. AI chat widget (Talia AI)

The chat widget lets you converse with an AI assistant to request information about TALIA services. Messages you voluntarily send are processed during the conversation.

If you choose to submit a contact request via chat, we may process your name, email, phone number, company, and request content to respond and manage the business relationship. Messages may be processed through AI service providers (OpenRouter) solely to generate responses.

Chat interactions also generate anonymous analytics events via Umami (open, close, message sent), without including message content in tracked events.

6. Contact forms

Forms on the site (contact, job applications, business inquiries) collect data you voluntarily provide, such as name, email, phone number, and message. This data is processed to handle your request, not for advertising profiling.

To submit a form you must explicitly accept this notice via the consent checkbox in the form.

Form submissions are forwarded by email through Web3Forms (a message delivery service). Web3Forms acts as a processor solely for delivering the communication.

Submitting a form may trigger an anonymous analytics event (e.g. contact form submission) via Umami, without sending form contents to the analytics system.

7. Recipients and transfers

We use service providers that process data on our behalf or as independent controllers, within the scope of their respective roles:

  • Web3Forms — email delivery for contact forms, job applications, and chat requests (third-party provider; possible transfers outside the EU with contractual safeguards)
  • OpenRouter — processing of chat messages via AI models to generate responses (third-party provider; possible transfers outside the EU with contractual safeguards)
  • Turso (libSQL) — application database for chat conversations and CMS content (managed cloud)
  • Cloudflare R2 — storage for media files uploaded in the CMS
  • Redis — application cache and rate limiting
  • Umami (self-hosted at analytics.madeintalia.com) — anonymous browsing statistics

8. Third-party content (YouTube)

On the TALIA TV section we embed YouTube videos via iframe. YouTube (Google LLC) may set cookies and collect data when you play a video or interact with the player, according to its own privacy policy.

Videos are not loaded automatically until you start playback. Opening a video may generate an anonymous analytics event on our Umami system.

10. Data retention

Anonymous Umami analytics data is retained for up to 12 months, unless the platform is configured differently.

Unsubmitted chat conversations (active or completed status) are kept for 30 days from the last update, then automatically deleted.

Requests submitted via chat or forms (including data forwarded through Web3Forms) are kept for 24 months from the last update, unless longer legal obligations apply.

Data may be kept beyond these periods only when necessary to comply with legal obligations or defend rights in legal proceedings.

11. Your rights

As a data subject you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability where applicable, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. In Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

To exercise your rights, contact [email protected].

12. Updates

We may update this notice to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in legal requirements. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
