From Palermo to Hong Kong: the new HHAO Medi website

We are proud to announce the launch of hhaomedi.com, the new website of HHAO Medi.

With this project, TALIA takes a new step in its international path, delivering its first job for a Hong Kong company.

HHAO Medi is a company that has produced MRI-compatible equipment since 2009: non-magnetic stretchers, wheelchairs, trolleys and accessories for hospitals and imaging centres in over 60 countries.

A highly specialised business, operating in a technological and scientific sector and addressing an international audience. TALIA's challenge was to shape a digital presence able to communicate clearly the company's identity and the features of its products.

A communication and digital design challenge

For HHAO Medi we redesigned the visual identity and built a site in five languages: English, Italian, Spanish, Turkish and Chinese.

Through UX and UI design we were able to build a browsing experience that guides users to discover the company, the product catalogue and the most relevant information.

The site, built with Next.js and Payload, also includes a panel that lets the HHAO Medi team manage content and translations on their own.

“The challenge was to build a platform able to hold together content, products and different languages, while keeping browsing clear and offering the client an accessible management tool. From a technical point of view, it was stimulating to deal with the needs of a company that addresses international markets and to find solutions that could support it in communicating with different audiences,” explains Vittorio Compagno, IT lead at TALIA.

Engaging with a new market

Working with HHAO Medi was also an opportunity to get to know more closely an economic and cultural context different from the one we usually work in.

Engaging with the Chinese market let us see new perspectives, encounter a different approach to work and measure ourselves against the needs of a business that looks to counterparts all over the world.

“This collaboration was a new challenge for TALIA and for me as project manager. Working with the HHAO Medi team gave us the chance to get to know an organisation and a way of working different from ours. It was interesting to discover how fundamental listening, clarity and the ability to understand the other person's point of view are to building a professional relationship, even when thousands of kilometres separate us,” says Giovanna Bonura, project manager at TALIA.

From Sicily, with an international outlook

For TALIA this project is a first step into the Asian market and an opportunity for growth for the whole team. It confirms the direction we want to keep following: starting from Sicily, building relationships and putting our skills at the service of businesses working in different contexts and markets.

Thanks to HHAO Medi for their trust and for involving us in this experience.
