La Rotta dei Florio 2026: sailing, culture and encounters between Mondello and the Mediterranean

Once again this year La Rotta dei Florio gave us intense days of sea, sport, culture and relationships.

From 24 to 26 April 2026 we experienced the fifth edition of the offshore race promoted by the Club Canottieri Roggero di Lauria, along a route that unites sport, territory and the history of the Florio family.

For TALIA, confirmed once more this year as a partner of the event, it was again much more than a sporting event: three days to tell through photos, video, content and live coverage, following everything that happens on and off the water.

It starts at Villa Igiea

As tradition has it, one of the best moments was the Cocktail Armatori ed Equipaggi, hosted by Villa Igiea, a Rocco Forte Hotel, a partner of the event.

An event that comes before the start of the race and brings together owners, crews, partners and guests in one of the places that symbolise the Florio story.

A special way to start the voyage, once again.

La Rotta dei Florio meets On Air Festival

The 2026 edition was even richer thanks to the collaboration with On Air Festival, which in the same days brought cinema, television, culture and social themes to Palermo.

The Club Canottieri Roggero di Lauria also became one of the Festival’s locations, creating a meeting between two different projects able to talk to each other.

During the race days we also hosted a panel at the Club with Rossella Brescia and Parisa Nazari, dedicated to women’s rights and civil rights.

A moment that showed once again how much sport, culture, territory and dialogue can coexist within the same experience.

Telling much more than a race

This is exactly what we keep liking about La Rotta dei Florio.

Competition remains the heart of the project, but everything that grows around it helps build its identity.

Owners, crews, sea, hospitality, culture, meetings and territory become parts of the same story.

For TALIA it means continuing to work on communication and media production, trying to convey the whole experience of the event, beyond its competitive side.

From the start to the arrivals, from the Cocktail Armatori at Villa Igiea to the On Air Festival meetings, this edition too was fantastic, as always.

A path built together

After several years of collaboration, seeing La Rotta dei Florio keep growing is a great satisfaction for us.

A special thank you goes to Stefano Tortorici, Commercial Manager of the Club Canottieri Roggero di Lauria, to President Andrea Vitale and to Sports Director Armando Udine, for the trust, the dialogue and the work built together.

Relationships and people, even before projects, are what allow events to grow year after year.

And we are happy to keep sailing together.
